The original plan had called for us to stop in Houston for the night.  It was already 5 p.m., and we'd been in the car off and on since 6:30 a.m. in Pensacola.  The down side, though, was that in looking at the map, we were going to fall behind schedule if we didn't press on to San Antonio as a stopping point.  Phooey; it's hard to take pictures in the dark.  Sadly, it was meant to be.  As a result, the Houston experience was limited, and the Enron Field visit was discarded, with the regret that this would be about the last time the name would be visible before the Houston Astros bought the name back after the Enron financial fiasco and bankruptcy.

We thought we were already arriving when we saw buildings -- alas, just a Budweiser plant. The Houston downtown skyline.  Impressive, yes.  And blurry; sorry. Even Houston dwellers enjoy the great value of Ikea furniture, it seems...
