It seems that visiting smaller-sized towns on a Sunday morning is going
to leave you with a quiet, almost haunting, experience with it. While
we found the people weren't in church, they weren't out and about either...
it's like they were at home, with their families or something. How dangerously
un-modern (and yet, refreshing).
Good enough for my purposes, anyway.
The downtown looked great with all the brick, but it was totally
deserted.
If I'm going to build a nest for myself, I want it to look like
this. Neat porch and all.
Where is everyone? Maybe at church? It is Sunday; but the Baptist
church was vacant...
... and the Catholic church was just as quiet as can be.
