On the way to and from Yosemite
National Park, we spent the night in Mariposa. A small town by the
standards of a New York City or Los Angeles, but it's a cute little place
amongst the hills and worth a stop and stay.
Always a good clue it'll be a nice place, when the population is
less than the elevation (in feet).
Mariposa is both the name of the city and county. Here, is the good
ol' courthouse... nice and old.
Happy Burger Diner. When they say they have the biggest menu around,
they're not kidding.
Good ol' Christian Scientist church. But it's a lovely church to
behold, ain't it?
The main street -- Main Street -- is lined with brick buildings
of days gone by.
Rather than print a phonebook, just make a billboard with the store
names and addresses.
