Apparently officially a district of Port
Adelaide, I opted to call it a separate place. Founded as a holiday
resort in 1878, the name was actually from the area's first hotel, *then*
became a government signaling station. It thrived as a resort town until
the 1930s, when it got quiet, then touristy, bringing us to today.
A lovely little sign, as signs go. And oh-so-blue,
too.
Once a Baptist church, this place is now only saving clothes from
the rubbish bin.
Semaphore sits alongside the Pacific Ocean, so it seems only fair
to get a photo of it.
After talking a walk out onto the jetty, you'll come back. When
you do, you have a view like this one.
If you're going to live here, you may as well over look the water.
Bonus for a salmon-colored home.
After running away a few times, it seems they first built a fence,
then a cage, to keep the car at home.
