The miracle of cable TV
There's just something magical about cable TV. And the magic extends far beyond merely the fact that we don't have cable on the TVs at my nest (Tubby is cheap). Have you ever looked through all the movies that are on cable? Good geese, there are tons of movies that are on my list to spoil, all laid out right before my very eyes. Why, I could have saved several dollars by just getting cable. The trick of it all will be to figure out how I can parlay it into a business operating expense, so I don't actually have to pay the bill out of my own pocket, yet have the service legally. I should put someone in charge of making that happen for me...

I think I deserve some props
In what fans would call impressive, and the bored sort would yawn and roll their eyes, I managed to sit through another 15 movies today to post endings to. Which got me to thinking, having sat through some great films, but mostly a lot of crap, that it seems like any one can write a screenplay, be they man, woman, child (Thirteen was written by, surprise, a 13-year-old girl), or duck. Hmmm... a Frank movie. Interesting notion, isn't it? I could be doing something interesting, be surrounded by beautiful, bleach-blonde chicks, have unlimited access to the sandwich truck between takes, and if I'm feeling truly generous, I could even find a job for Tubby. Maybe he could be the gopher for the extras or something. I dunno. But it's an interesting idea, isn't it? I think so. So, I'll be accepting applications for cast, crew, screenwriters, critics, extras, gophers, and someone to carry an unbrella over my when the sun is in its zenith. Anyway, time for sleepy eyes.

A weekend of wanderings...
The weekend was quite action-packed, start to finish. We began with a movie outing to endure the 2 1/4 hour The Last Samurai and Honey. But it took a bit of work to get that far, what with The Terminator, er, the new California Governor, holding a meet-the-people thing in the mall where I chose to see my films. From there, I was off to wander around some towns here and there, including Albany, Berkeley, and the UC Berkeley campus. (I'm also supposed to say, "Go Bears!"... some guy in a red shirt and a tree tried to pay me not to, though, but I'm not sure what that's all about.) All this, and I still will get to bed at a decent hour this evening -- hurrah!
