03/23/2004: "Midwestern Office Trip - Day 4"

A busy and productive day, all things considered. We arose around 7am, and headed out after discovering the photos we’ve taken so far were not viewable, so we’ll be revisiting some places the next time we come through the towns in question. (Sunol, Nebraska, and Gayville and Vermillion, South Dakota were lost, but are a bit too far off the track to re-visit this time for more pictures, grr). On an upside, after a rocky start with our realtor, Cindy (she thought we were meeting tomorrow, not today), we managed to get out to Parkston to see a less-than-stellar place, then finally, to Tripp, where the place met or exceeded everything I was looking for. We’ll be making an offer on the place tomorrow, thus launching the first of what I hope is several offices nationwide. From there, we’re figuring to cut things a bit short and head back home tomorrow afternoon, which should get us home a day earlier, too. Bonus!
