2005 is not upon us
I suppose this means I'm growing in popularity. I was invited to a New Year's Eve party this year, and actually got Tubby to drive me. Sure, he was his usual miserable-company self, but I had a delightful time, and have the photos to prove it. (And of course, most of the photos are an excellent display of the good time I had, so much so that most of the pictures aren't those I can post. Sorry.)

Dopey Mopey
Yes, my nest-mate, Dopey Mopey, is getting a bit on my nerves. Whilst normally simply Tubby, he's currently rounding out the last week or so of his 30 days of holiday-induced depression. Much to my delight, and subsequent annoyance, he seemed quite non-depressed-like at the beginning of the week, but is sort of back to his previously scheduled glums now. Fortunately for me, I have my own room, and he's due to officially snap out of it in about a week and a half, if my X'd out calendar is accurate.

This one time, at band camp...
... I don't play the flute, or the trumpet. Piano is also a bit challenging. But I digress, significantly. Tubby again darkens the nest with his presence, apparently after running about with a lass whom he just met with (and even wore jeans versus his "given up on life" sweatpants). I don't know the significance of either event, but there's apparently talk of "Duck Boy" in her livejournal (which you won't apparently find 'cuz it's private, I deduced). Yessir, the most salacious gossip is also the most well-hidden. Curses to privacy, indeed! But a welcome diversion from trying to think of a unique name for Frank Productions, since there's been way too much confusion between me and Frank [Oz] Productions. And we can't have that...

Got gift receipt?
It's the international gift return day... do you have YOUR receipt? Fortunately, I've received only a wingful of gifts, and of those I've opened (I'm pacing myself), all are absolutely perfect. I mean, how could anyone go wrong with a video game controller or a bag of candy? They can't. (Note to reader: gifts of candy are always welcome -- if you're unclear, remember how many movies a week I see in theaters?) Speaking of which, I have a few films to catch in the theater today... better grab my bill-fold and head for the door. Tootles!
