T-minus 10 minutes and counting
Well, being the last minute Scrooge I am, I did my shopping today. Not much, mind you, but it wasn't horrible -- in and out of the store in question in under 15 minutes, and virtually no line to wait in. And yes, I am a planner, but Christmas is always a dilemma for me. I'm often torn between having to fake being the nice duck and buying gifts, or just firing everyone and rehiring them (or peeps who work cheaper) in early January. I figured a round of firings at 5pm would be funny, but not very much in the spirit of the holidays. (And when Legal told me it was evil, that was a wake-up call -- they are lawyers, after all, and for them to consider me evil, well... need I say more?) So, I did my shopping, have my tree up, other bits and pieces done, and as soon as I can get my camera to behave and talk to the computer again, photo updates to follow. Now, I'm off to rush to my nest before the old fat guy tries to come down the chimney and finds me awake, and the milk still in the fridge and cookies still in the cookie jar. Oops, and carrots for the reindeer. Lots to do in the next 10 minutes.

Missed the quakin', but home safe and sound
It's 4am, and I'm home from the three day odyssey through South California -- Carlsbad's Legoland and Anaheim's Disneyland. On the way home, around 11:15pm, I also passed through Paso Robles for Diet Pepsi to feed to by balding driver, and overheard the clerk and a guy talking about "the" quake. So, when I got here, lo and behold, there's mention of a 6.5 earthquake that struck in -- surprise -- Paso Robles.. which would also explain why all the gas stations has yellow 'caution' tape around them and non one was open to pump gas. Anyhoo; the Disneyland trip pics will be up shortly, but probably not until after I get down to see a movie tomorrow, er, later today. I'm feeling as though I'm slipping behind on my movies, given the last-minute push to release films to ensure they're in the running for the Academy Awards ("Oscars") for the 2003 calendar year.

Greetings from the (714) area code
Howdy hey, kids! Yessir, I'm down in Southern California for my Legoland and Disneyland trip for the holidays. I've finally finished posting the Legoland pictures (something like 55+ of those), and Disneyland will follow soon (once the computer decides to read the picture card and stops telling me to format the card first, which is silly, as it already has 200 pictures on it). But in summary, Legoland is a cool little park, and if you're into LEGO, it's a must see. (And this weekend, they began a two week tent sale of some Star Wars and other stuff that's being sold through, at 20-70% off... yea!). But I'm a train sort of duck, so that wasn't worth much discount, and I didn't see any train stuff in the tent sale. But that was yesterday (Saturday, 20 December). Today was Disneyland, lots of rides and two parades (the Christmas one in Disneyland and the Electric Parade in California Adventure). Then off to buy Pepsi and gas. And with stuff posted, I'm going nighty-night, so... nighty-night!
