High Noon in Dallas/Fort Worth
Or, more specifically, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, in the annex for American Eagle and Gate A2. Even more specifically in front of A2-F, awaiting our final flight from here to Lawton, Oklahoma for a weekend wander (and some other stuff). One of those last-minute things to officially promote me, although I suspect Tubby has his own motives -- after all, he's actually paying for this one. Unusual. Suspicious. But whatever... it's a weekend holiday away from the nest. (And yes, it's noon... in Dallas. But only 10am on the west coast, or 1pm on the east coast... or 7pm in Amsterdam, or...)

Happy Halloween, etc.
So, it's Halloween. Not spirited enough to dress up much this year (just a feather coat and some clean down), the trick-or-treating still went reasonable well. (I suppose the average human sees me as a very small child dressed as a duck or something.) The haul was filled with the usual Twix Twin miniature bars and Kit-Kats, but not entirely. Amongst two of the more interesting items were a cough drop -- herbal -- made in Italy, and a two-sided, full-color business-card sized ad for a guy running for city council. Again, since he lost in the last election. It was a nice, low-key outing as I ease myself into a month filled with weekend trips throughout November, ranging from Oklahoma to Disneyland to Tahoe, and possible another. It's important to end the year with a travelin' bang, don't you think?
