Pacin' like a race car
Sorry, just got a bit silly, title-wise. So, I'm just sitting about, waiting for my ride to the transit station that will take us to the airport that will take us to the flight that will take us to Auckland, New Zealand by way of a stop-over in Sydney. (But we'll be in Sydney properly around 10 June, no worries.) Right now, I just feel like it's prom night and my date isn't here yet. And no, it's not Tubby. That would be like waiting for your date who's late, and it's only your ugly cousin, Elmer, because you're too homely to have date with a boy who's not kin.

Is it just me?
Or are at least some male members of this human race a bit dim? So, we're maybe 2 days from loading into the car and off to the airport to head off on the New Zealand & Australia trip, and someone hasn't gone beyond packing socks. Certainly, I can agree that 27 pairs of socks aren't something to overlook, but at the same time, what about everything else? And the electronics, camera, FrankPens? Is he going to bring pants? Nice ones, or just the usual crap he wears around like holes in the knees are still in style? (Were holes in the knees ever in style?) Or maybe I'm the irrational one. Possible, but I'm thinking not likely...

5 days and counting...
New Zealand and Australia are getting closer, it's quite the bit of excitement, really. I guess now that I'm actually having to think about what to pack, and that I have received a stack of airline tickets and stuff, it feels like this is actually going to happen. (Not that there was any doubt, since I paid for the thing weeks ago.) But worry not, I'll be ready to roll when the time comes... and if you haven't already, be sure to submit your shopping and gift wish lists now to avoid the rush. ;)
