12/23/2004: "Gift shopping?"

So, I'm wondering if it's about the right time to start my gift shopping. Owing to being a guy, I possess the wholly unreasonable belief that everything on my list should still be in stock and readily available in stores everywhere, and at low low prices. For those who live in reality, d'oh! Fortunately, most of the staff and crew will just get the leftover FrankPens I couldn't give away on account of a safety recall with the spring mechanism. My family is predominately of unknown whereabouts, so that's done, and Tubby will get the same gift as last year... because he never figured out how to unwrap it 12 months ago. (Saves me $4.19, too, although I suspect the yule log will not be even less edible after 12 months of being stored on the furnace.) Noel.
