04/04/2004: "Daylight savings? Honestly, now..."
So, Tubby and I are driving back from Seattle. Rather than spend the $45 and an extra night there, we just took turns driving the 13 or so hours back home. Or 14, if you factor in the "adjusted" time for daylight savings. But isn't this whole savings thing just an accounting sham? It's not like we're getting back an hour of daylight, or getting more of it -- we've just robbed Peter's morning sunlight account and put it in Paul's evening sunlight fund. (Minus the implicit Catholic overtones of Peter and Paul.) At least there's neither a Mark, John, or in more recent times, Mary. Anyway, I'm off to bed at 4:03am, er, 5:03am (Pacific "Daylight" Time).
