03/15/2004: "This is/was the last time"
So, on Thursday past, I went to work with Tubby on one of my self-announced Take Your Duck to Work day. Today, I did it again. In his divine wisdom, we took the car down for it's oil change, 1,400 miles past due (hey, I'm a busy duck). We end up at Oil Changers. I should have taken it as a sign when the only cloud in the sky passed overhead and momentarily blocked out the sun that all wasn't well. We arrived at 11:58am. We left at 1:49pm. Yessir, nearly two hours for an oil change. Busy? Not really; four cars were tended to by the two-man crew during that time. Horrific, really. Heck, we were there so long the boy *actually* talked to the young, cute girl in the waiting area with us. (Okay, we noticed she works at the same company as Tubby, so that common link was established, but still, it was a big step for him.) And her name was Sarah, which means "princess" in Hebrew, and the fact that Sara has the -h at the end means "one with god." But I doubt her parents did that much research when naming her, but she was cute even if he's not truly of royal stock. Next time, I'm staying home, sleeping in, and eating Cheez-Its until I get sick.
