01/23/2004: "Italy Trip 2004 (Update #3 - last one)"

It's well into the evening here in Venice, a bit after 9pm, and 32°F/0°C. Fortunately, I'm wearing a nice down coat, but I can't say that it's all toasty-ness for everyone here. I did get a little wet, but after sitting hear the radiator, I'm cozy and dry once more. Earlier today, I went to St. Mark's Square... and it was snowing. According to Debra (you'll remember she's the tour director), this is a very unusual thing for Venice. My travel buddy is celebrating (lamenting) the passage of another year of life today, and is coming to the realization that she's not getting any younger. (I think she's secretly hoping that some of her tour companions will buy her yummy alcoholic beverage -- a Blů di Blů -- which she described as a "liquid lollipop" that is quite "de-lish." A downy wave from Venezia (Italian for Venice)!
