10/15/2003: "Soda Strangeness at 5,280 Feet"
Well, I wouldn't have believed it either, but it actually seems as though bottled soda behaves differently at 5,000 feet elevation greater than what I'm used to at home. To wit, examine the details of the Soda Situation. Long story short, it seems that cold soda, when opened, seems to freeze over, and then force whatever liquid is left in the bottle, out of the bottle. Imagine how surprised the boy was to discover this the first time. Fortunately, it's a hotel's carpet and not ours at home. But I thought it was odd, curious, and sort of fun to play with, all at once. That aside, we're coming home tomorrow... good for us.
