09/21/2003: "Because it really is all about me"

It's only 86°F inside now, 73°F outside... yes, we have a bit of a circulation issue within the nest. This weekend was one of movies, monster madness, and such things. The movies included getting the spoiled endings of Secondhand Lions and Underworld. The monsters is more a term of affection, for the two wee ones that sort of descending upon the nest this weekend. The only challenge was when the wee-est of the wee ones, Mercury (age 4 1/4) tried to bring me by the pool. Which was lovely, but with the amount of splashing, and the fact that I can't swim (and I really can't swim, unlike what the 8 year old lamented time and time again. Alas, still a good time.
